Maybe I'm dense. But, I didn't know this existed.

Yes, I'm aware people dress as their favorite characters for gaming conventions and comic cons. A buddy of mine and I pulled a Snake and did some sneaky sneakersons to see a gaming convention in Florida two years ago. Meaning, we snuck in.

It was...surreal.

This may be taking LARPing too far for my taste. From the preview, here, I can get a sense of why these people would want to partake in this activity. To them, it's an escape from reality. For us, it's games. Don't forget that the media looks down upon us too for our hobby.

It's physically acting out an RPG. Mainstream finds that weird. That's obvious from the very beginning of the preview with the "normal" couple. I'm just glad they have something to look forward to instead of falling into depression. Friends having a good time...in a different way.

I'll go see it.
